When Chris Slix reached out to us about his McLaren 675LT, the mission was clear from the start. He wanted something engineered. Something that could match the hybrid turbo setup he was running and unlock the full potential of the car without compromise.

We took the challenge personally.

At NOX, we believe that true performance is born in the details in flow, in weight, in resonance. So we designed a custom titanium X-pipe exhaust system from scratch, built specifically around the unique needs of a heavily boosted 675LT platform.

The entire system was engineered in-house at NOX, with every angle, bend, and transition modeled for flow and velocity. At the core of the design was a Venturi section, placed strategically to help create a low-pressure zone just after the X. This wasn’t just for sound, it actively pulled exhaust gases through faster, improving scavenging, reducing backpressure, and helping the turbos breathe freely under load.

For a car already producing serious numbers, that flow improvement made a real difference. After tuning and dyno testing, the result was over 200 additional horsepower and a massive improvement in torque through the low and mid RPM range. The car came alive in a way that even we didn’t fully anticipate, sharper throttle, quicker boost response, and an entirely new attitude on the road.

The system itself was constructed from aerospace-grade titanium, manufactured in partnership with Nicromobeum UK. Their craftsmanship, paired with our engineering, delivered something truly next level, lightweight, functional, and built to handle heat, stress, and abuse without compromise.

The tone? Clean. Dry. Pure titanium resonance. At idle, it hums with tension. Under throttle, it builds into a sharp howl that cuts through the air like a blade. No valves. No mufflers. Just raw, intelligent noise.

This project was more than a custom system. It marked the beginning of what NOX stands for, engineering with purpose, design with intent, and products that don’t just perform but transform. Chris’s 675LT became a turning point for us, and what we built together is just a glimpse of what’s coming next.
